Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and strike full sound systems: mics, monitors, mixing boards, and PA for bands crankin’ country, rock, blues, and beyond.
• Design and run lighting rigs: spots, strobes, LEDs, and effects to match the vibe from chill acoustic sets to full-throttle dance parties.
• Sound-check artists before doors open, balance the mix all night, and troubleshoot any feedback or flicker on the fly.
• Maintain gear inventory—clean, repair, and organize cables, amps, fixtures, and consoles so nothin’ misses a beat.
• Coordinate with bands, management, and security for smooth load-ins, show flow, and load-outs.
• Ensure safe rigging, power distribution, and compliance with venue fire/safety codes.
• Pitch in for special events, karaoke nights, or private parties with custom AV magic.

Qualifications

• 2+ years live sound/lighting experience in clubs, theaters, or music venues—FOH mixing and basic DMX programming a must.
• Knowledge of gear like QSC, Yamaha, Shure, Chauvet, and digital consoles (QLab, Midas, etc.).
• Prompt, dependable, positive, and cool under pressure when the headliner’s late or a bulb blows mid-solo.
• Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and wrangle cables in a sweaty pit.
• Flexible for nights, weekends, and late load-outs—live music don’t stop at 5!
• Team player who relishes a killer guitar tone and a crowd losin’ their minds under your lights.
